with thomas esmond some american guy and nick // ambrose sheryl and charles // sheryl yeoh tangmo -- singapore malaysia thailand // sheryl and erin // william and sheryl

check out LOUIE's!!! it's this club about 10 mins walk across the car park from the commons where i stay. it's absolutely tiny.....unbelievably crowded and that was my first so-called clubbing experience in the US. oh nothing can beat this: their entrance fee is $1 for those 21 yrs and above and $3 for those below 21 yrs. u'll never find that in singapore! and i'm not talking about ladies' night haha.

initially went there with sheryl (the only other singaporean girl) and our thai housemates (tangmo, pom, tutu) and their thai friends. turns out tat we met thomas and yeoh there. the dancing there is an eye-opener. nothing i've ever seen back home seriously --> the pple here love dancing, esp the blacks. and boy do they love dancing in the guy-behind-girl-infront position. haha. like everybody on the dance floor (probably except the few of us crazy asians) was grooving and shaking their booties to the beat. and yes, they shake their booties pretty darn well....

there's another club that i've not explored yet, it's called club X, it's somewhere in town and everynight there's actually a shuttle bus service that comes to the commons to pick up pple and drops them off at club x and sends them back to the commons again at 2.30am after that. heard it's interesting, cos it's a gay club! i'm quite sure that it's more exciting than Happy that i went to last year. haha.

apparently, it's kinda taboo or somethin along that line to say "gay", pple here actually use "fairy" as their lingo to erm, mean that. haha.

first day off at cedar point!!!

and it's rainy. sheesh.check out the weather on the streets on the morning that a few of us walked to the american social security office for 55 mins in the icy winds. Walked!! look at the wet roads and the colour of that sky. totally depressing i tell u.

just to prove my point that sandusky should be renamed winterland, look at sheryl (in blue) and marcus (in black in front) desperately trying to keep warm while even more desperately trying to get their legs to walk at all. my fingers couldn't feel a thing after i took these photos. haha.

harley davidson!!! it's an entire building by itself selling bikes, merchandise, clothing, and a whole lot more....

at the pizza place within 5 mins walking distance from the commons --> East of Chincago Pizza with US$5.97 all-you-can-eat lunch buffet. went with sheryl and marcus since we were all free. the first pic shows our first helping of pizzas....alot better than pizza hut and canadian pizza, and there're so many flavours that all pretty much taste good, yummilicious! there's even dessert pizzas, we tried both: peanut butter and caramel that was a tad too sweet, and cinnamon that i absolutely loved :)

(1) At the New York Subway Penn Station:
numerous subway lines and mannnn.....are those trains old. old. old. looked kinda creepy honestly, like those rackety old choos-choos right out of horror flicks. haha. so there we were, all 3 of us with our backpacks and luggages standing behind the lines waiting for the train to arrive.
thank goodness for britmand and marcus who helped ALOT with my luggage, if not for them, i wonder how i would have dragged the huge black bag weighing 19.5kg up and down those flights of stairs at the subway station.

(2) At Sandusky Amtrak Train Station:
3 of us reached sandusky at 6am in the freezing winter-like winds. though i was smack right in the middle of korea's winter or something. it was mad, and the maddest thing is that we were unable to contact Anybody from cedar point to pick us up from the train station. so we were kinda stranded in full gear in a foreign land that was 40 hours away from home...can u imagine that?!

Amtrak trains are comfortable honestly. different from those overnight trains that sha and i took in sec 3 on our china trip with the ri guys cos those had triple-decker beds. this time round, the seats were huge and comfy enough to keep us from getting backaches and what-nots during the ridiculous 14-hour train ride from new york all the way to sandusky, ohio.

and yes, thanks marcus and brit again, for help with the luggage on the train and off the train :)

thanks all of u who came to the airport, although it was so far for you.....all the way from sheares hall, from hougang, from the east (the east aint that far, but the effort is whoa!)
the boy gave me a webcam!!!!! whoa dear u're so sweet, thanks! i'm finally using it, like now, because i got sent home early from work cos of the bad weather. haha. but it's fun webcamming...now can see and talk to the boy and sha too. that's if i catch her online.
chee keong bought me a dolly with a nodding head!! forgot wat it's called but it's kinda adorable. sitting beside my bed, nodding its head haha. thanks CK!
xuan and bing came to the airport too, sha couldn't because of family stuff. but Xuan and Bing, thank you girls! it meant so much to me to see u girls there. i wish u girls were here with me, can u imagine how much fun it'll be?? all of us together just playing and working together! ooh and not to mention, travelling!
and to nana and mel, u two sneaky little monkeys! haha. totally gave me a surprise after i checked in my luggage. and there were flowers too! thanks babes!
and finally, to mummy pa and chuan, i really miss you 3....even chuan the lil bugger. i miss home and my bed and my pillow... and mothers day just passed, it's still mothers day here actually, but it's monday back in singapore already. so...HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY MUMMY, I LOVE YOU! ps, i hope chuanming checks this page and shows u this :)
i miss you all at home so much, i miss singapore's weather. it's cold and rainy and freaking windy and depressing and inconvenient :( and i keep getting sent home from work cos of the weather, so i din clock in much hours this week. sigh. and the pple i love are all halfway across the world.
what's a girl gotta do in a situation like that. sigh. make the best out of it i guess. gotta get used to stuff here and being independent (it's different from being independent in hall, at least that was in singapore...).

the last day of exams last wednesday 3rd may was a total mixed pot of emotions.

1. there was stress and anxiety cos i had 2 papers on that day. 2 major module exams at 9am and 5pm!!! whoa, i don't want to do that again. totally drains out whatever energy u have left from he whole exam period. both papers weren't good anyway. big sigh.

2. when the clock struck 7pm...it was excitement and happiness!!!! 4th semester of exams over!!!! went to town w the boy. we bought movie tix for Mission Impossible 3 at 10pm and The Wild at 12.15am. movie marathon haha. went over to Paragon cos he wantedto have jap food badly. the food was great...we had soba sets and 2 desserts. kinda ex though, the bill came up to quite a bit. thanks dear for the treat! the shows were alright. m.i.2 is good stuff, the wild was ok, some parts were funny and mr koala nigel has a weird sense of humour, but the boy din like it that much haha.

the peeping tom struck block e. finally. after he'd already attacked blocks a-d in hall. freaky pervert. he actually hung from the ledge outside the toilet in order to get a view of whats going inside the bathing cubicle. dunno if he stuck his head in thru the window or stuck his handphone inside. but either way, hes so sick in the head and i sincerely hope with all my heart that he falls one day. evil as i sound, this wish is only for the benefit and safety of everyone in hall because privacy at certain times (like bathing) is v important.

update more laterr...
