| How You Are In Love |
You take a while to fall in love with someone. Trust takes time.
You tend to take more than give in relationships.
You need your space and privacy. You don't like to be smothered.
You love your partner unconditionally and don't try to make them change.
You stay in love for a long time, even if you aren't loved back. When you fall, you fall hard. |

| The Keys to Your Heart |
You are attracted to those who have a split personality - cold as ice on the outside but hot as fire in the heart.
In love, you feel the most alive when your lover is creative and never lets you feel bored.
You'd like to your lover to think you are optimistic and happy.
You would be forced to break up with someone who was emotional, moody, and difficult to please.
Your ideal relationship is open. Both of you can talk about everything... no secrets.
Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.
You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.
In this moment, you think of love as something you thirst for. You'll do anything for love, but you won't fall for it easily. |

i just counted: in the tall bottle filled with small hand-folded paper stars in an entire multitude of colours, there is a whopping grand total of
539 stars!!! (excluding 5 more in the bits and pieces box).
thanks dear for all the work put in!! really appreciate your nights of endless folding and folding and more folding :)

was discussing changing landscapes essay with ivan earlier over the phone...it's such a horrid topic, not to mention a horrid module. if not for sch requirements, i wouldn't take it for anything :(
BOO.
just as we were stuck as to where to find the original article that might be of help to the essay, terence dear brought over his place environment society notes, and guess what!! that article was one of his readings previously!! yay, dun hafta go plough through the entire library already. also, he borrowed some notes that might be of relevance to the essay from his friend.
Thanks Dear!!!

did alot of walking last week, esp on wednesday and friday. a big thanks to NANA for finding out the location from your friend!! a very very big THANK YOU to 2 dear girls:
1)
Shalynn --> for accompanying me out on wednesday where we combed practically every store on 2 levels of the shopping centre looking for what i wanted. your legs must have nearly given way, cos mine most certainly almost did!!
2)
Fedora --> for accompanying me out on friday after elang lect where we collected the final product and spent about half an hour inside that particular shoe shop deciding whether or not to buy for myself and sha and walking out empty handed. haha.
really still feel like getting those shoes though. only problem is which pair?! there was the
black pointed-toe kitten heels with warm pink trimmings or the
white round-toed with mesh-like front and cute heels. sigh.
so many things i wanna get other than shoes. saw soo many pairs of pants and shorts at esprit, but i cant possibly get all. not forgetting the
low-slung grey and white 3/4 pants from fox, or the
white low-slung pants from topshop. sigh. sigh. sigh.

too many deadlines..it's getting suffocating in here. HELP. every sem i say help, doesn't the work load ever DECREASE?! this is mad.
was doing my part of the stats intro till around 3am last thursday. my fault for starting late, i'm not complaining. always doing work at the eleventh hour, cant stand it myself.
Bug Alert
halfway through my intro around 2am, i heard a loud TICK and saw a glimpse of something black fly through my window towards the bed. where i sit at the table is right next to the window, how freaky. the mere sight of that black thing near the bed was enough to make my tired butt jump outta the chair and outta the room, down the stairs to look for help.
thanks
ANT for being the bug catcher, would've freaked out if not for you!! ant stuck his head into my room and calmly said:"it's a cockroach." Yikes!!! a
huge black flying cockroach was sitting on my bed. how gross does that sound. told sha about it when she was talking to james, james even drew a picture of a cockroach and sent it over msn. -_-
certainly couldn't bring myself to sleep on that bed anymore after that ordeal with the co*****ch and the worst is that it even strolled over my comforter! the thought of it just makes my hair stand. DisGusTing!!!! took off the bed sheet, pillow case and comforter cover and brought it home for washing. AGAIN.
to end off that traumatic night, chee keong came knocking at 3am, asking if we wanted to have ramly's burger at the tanjong pagar train station. haha. what a time to get a craving! so sha ant ter and i packed into ck's car and we headed to the train station.....only to find the burger place closed. how disappointing. sha and i actually wanted to try it. oh well. chinatown porridge was good stuff too. thanks
ANT and
CK for the treat!!
slept at 530am, and miraculously managed to get up for stats project meeting at 10am. haha. eyebags......

colours are just arbitrary meanings.
black, white, grey.
how do you define which colour represents what meaning? they have got to be different in characteristics, just as each colour varies from one another. simultaneously, their referents have to be able to be categorised under the same group, just as black, white and grey are colours surrounding us.
love--hate. like--dislike. acceptable--unacceptable. like alot--like a little.
put these colours in a venn diagram?
haha. just gathering some thoughts.

Ter made this as a surprise last last week and hung it in my room while i wasn't in. it's still proudly hanging there, beneath the lamp, right above my bed...thanks dear..i really love it!!!!
:)
it's so sweet, practically everything we did is in that frame, doesn't look like alot i know, cos it isn't. however, considering the time factor, i say that's quite alot of stuff and photos we managed to capture in order to get ready for this 1-week present :)

hell week.
test on thursday --> 6 out of 10 chapters to go, and it's wednesday morning now. HELP.
heavenly math project Today --> had to make changes to my zodiac article, try to shorten it, make it more linked and conducive for understanding; had to send it to justin to check through just about a million times; had to design 5 pages of the article for my magazine when initially designing was supposed to be done only by a coupla pple in the group but No thanks for suggesting that we design our own articles; ended up starting on the design at 3am last night and finishing it at 6am, only to wake up at 7.50am this morning for breakfast and to study for my test which is in freakin' 26 hours time.
well done.
my eyes are totally puffy, looks like i haven't slept in 10 years. no, make that 20. and there's 7 hours straight of tutorials/lectures/duty/meetings awaiting me starting 10am.
say hip hip hurray.
i better be able to last the whole day and night.

ter met chuan and yanjia yesterday at open house. and so, yea they've met him too. and so did quite a few bizcommers. haha.
had brunch with ter and his family today at
dong hai. was really quite nervous, dunno why and cant be explained also. plus the fact that my chinese is not up to conversational standard didn't make me feel any more calm :/ tried dim sum at quite a few places before, but i really hafta give credit to the food there, it was really...good.
his parents gave me a lift back. still feeling so stuffed and its already 1.5 hrs to dinner. haha. forget about dinner. i'm gg running with gwen tonight. finally seeing her after dunno how many weeks again. haha.lotsa updates girl!!
gotta meet up with alot of people, i realised. cos there aint no time after exams. since i end on the 3rd at 7m, and i'm flying on the 5th at 1am.
:( that's so fast.
missy, daniel, eddy, gwen, nicholas, huixian, weiting, veronica, bing, mel, jas, nana, agnes, youwen...so many people. how to see all of them!

erin 5:52 PM
had an interview at the US Embassy last thursday morning with britmand and marcus. thanks ter for accompanying me out although it was so early in the morning!! and for keeping me company the entire day also :)
when i was done with the embassy, i met ter on the way to tanglin mall, and stopped over at delifrance for 1 of their yummilicious chocolate muffins that are soft, moist and just oh-so-chocolatey!! the downside was that, that's the way it usually tastes, but not on this day when i was starving cos i din take bfast that day :( ter had this sudden craving for
dong hai while i was halfway through my bfast..managed to convince him to suppress it till sunday when he meets his family for brunch there.
we walked from tanglin down towards orchard, past hilton to lido. did some window shopping and cut my hair at the usual place, usual price. i wanted lawrence to cut the fringe, but now, it kinda feels too short. sigh. i'll wait patiently for it to grow then. went to kino for ter to check out his manga which unfortunately hasn't hit the shelves yet, then dropped by at zara to check out my knitted sweater. the v-necked sweater that sha and i have been eyeing since coupla weeks ago. decided to wait for shalynn to reach town before buying it.
lunch was great although it was merely fish and chips at swensens, but i really enjoyed the place, the food, the conversation, and most importantly, my lunch date :) walked over to cine for post-lunch exercise to check out movie timings that night before gg back to lido to get the tix for 5 of us. did more shopping at mango --> got a yellow top!! and at the supermarket (-_-" haha). ter wanted to eat ice cream AGAIN!!! had ice cream twice or thrice that day (gelatissimo outside lido and chewy jap ice cream). ter doesn't believe eating ice cream makes anyone gain weight. what a fallacy. sigh.
met sha ck ant for dinner at the korean restaurant at heeren before watching final destination 3 at lido. it's waaaay gruesome. eww. finally got to go to the balcony at heeren after so long. it's a cute place, interestingly done up, we saw the eye for a guy lead girl there chilling out.
sensed something weird throughout the entire dinner and during coffee/drinks. this uncomfortable feeling just crept through all of us, regardless of whether it was emitted from more than 1 party. was it lethargy? boredom? indecisiveness? frustration? feeling left out? complications :(
to a very important person: tactlessness caused it, but you 2 mean so much to me, and my dear girl, i hope things will work out fine. i love you!!

i'm tired. and i have to finish this article on the zodiac, horoscopes and astrology.
SIGH.
tired tired tired.
it's friday and i'm in school still. havent been going home on fridays for a long time, sometimes even staying over the entire weekend. chuan is having block leave this week, so that makes more reason to go home. but after he goes back to camp, how strong is the pull factor to make me Want to go home to a place where hardly any interaction takes place?
glimpses of the future have slapped us in the face so many times, since so long ago, a decade at least i should think? as time progresses and we move towards the later parts of our lives, these shots seem to be approaching fast, faster than usual, too fast for comfort. maybe time can slow down - so that we can appreciate what we possess now, the people we have around us now, or so that those unhappy ones will experience prolonged discomfort...?
i'm thankful for the naughty little bugger at home, he's been more help than he knows, seriously. good job bro. if not for you, those glimpses would have been accelerated, to maybe even..now? or tomorrow?
tolerance is such a powerful word. it resolves little conflicts in the short term, and creates much tension, both externally and internally, in the long run. how much tolerance can each of us have? how much patience before the rope snaps?
it's been at least a decade and it started even before then. we're grateful that you have held on for so long despite the trying circumstances and the stifling freedom. we know why you did what you did, why u are doing what you are doing, because we understand who you did all that for. in recent years, tensions have increased in so many areas, you're not the only one reaching the peak of this delicate balance called tolerance. no matter what you choose to carry out, you have our heartfelt support and lifelong understanding. Be strong.

attended chuan's POP this afternoon at..where else --> the sunny island of tekong!! after all the formalities and speeches were done with, and parents were asked to go down to the parade square to put on the caps for their dear sons, this sense of pride surfaced out of nowhere, i know it's only bmt and that's merely the start of his 2 years in ns and that there's still a whole lot more that he has yet to go through inside, but still, i felt proud knowing that dear ol' chuan has come thus far :)
when all 5 companies of green-clad guys threw their caps in the air, again, that feeling of pride appeared, and i'm really happy for you CHUAN!!
rushed to nana's wedding at Fullerton Hotel after that. it was a mad rush, we made a grand entrance and boy oh boy, i Absolutely LOVE the Fullerton Ballroom!!!! it's so gorgeous and grand and the rose petals that were romantically scattered around plus the candles and huge standing bouquets of red and white roses were just PeRfEcTTT!!! din take any photos, but my cousin looked outstandingly amazing!
now i know why jas has this desire to haf her wedding there. have been to many hotels for dinners and stuff, but fullerton just blew my mind away, gotta say this again --> i Love the place!!

this was taken on friday night, after they returned from hall dinner-and-dance at jewel box, mt. faber. it's supposed to be really artistic, y'know, the arty-farty type of pose, but i'm sure the next time we take this photo, we'll get it right. definitely. haha. think the angle isn't too correct, something like that.
