just attended nyp's and ntu's pre-WMC concert at nyp auditorium. i enjoyed it :) enjoyed it cos both bands played well, the songs were good (with Praise Jerusalem and Persis being my 2 favourite pieces again!!!) and of course, because Huixian and Daniel were playing! didn't expect dan to play but it's not really surprising considering how he's always been so enthu and mad about band and his trumpet and how lao shi always did like him since vj.

veronica and i were sitting near the top of the audi initially before the intermission. well, yea, i have far-from-perfect eyesight, but we found hx fast enough because of her hair colour haha! but all through the 1st half of the concert, i was trying to figure out which trumpeteer was daniel cos they erm, looked all the same. finally reckoned that the 3rd guy from the right was him because of his mannerisms when playing. it was just toooooooo daniel to not be daniel! Bingo, that was really him! prob cos i've not seen him for so long since the last class gathering i think, was quite shocked to see him. daniel was in contacts and he'd slimmed down so much he was pretty cool looking actually.....! what a change from the daniel i remembered! was surprised also when Nicholas's and Veronica's friend - Elizabeth - called me by my name since we've only met once or twice during our jc years...

weiting couldn't make it for the concert cos of a family gathering. nvm, still i hope that the 4 of us can finally meet up next week for lunch or dinner or whatever! cos i miss those times when it's just the 4 of us.

told alvin that sha and i would be gg for camp soon and that we'll be stopping work come august. he sure was unhappy about it. kept insisting that we could arrange our timetables so that we could come back to work on weekends....from 2 sems of experience (not that it's alot of experience to talk about...), there's never enough time to do school stuff. talk about working my weekends off! no way!

heard tat ntu's next big concert would be sojourn in january next year. honestly quite tempted to go play. wondering if veronica might wanna go play too? but next sem for her sounds so packed and stressed already and sem 1 hasn't even started! sigh. i miss band. i know i must haf said this at least a million times already but i really really really do.

i didn't know that allison was playing in nyp band. and she's SL of clarinet section! so proud of her cos she's my junior from pl :) marianne from sax is the SL of sax section too. i didn't get to see either of them though.

got a long day ahead tmr. 11 hours straight of standing and/or walking around at bloodcafe. sheesh. feel like writing more, but i think my eyes need the sleep pretty badly.
